Augsburg, [um 1760].. Altkolorierter Kupferstich. 14, 5 x 7, 4 cm. (Blattgr.). Stark beschnitten und auf Trägerpapier aufkaschiert. Teils mit kleinem Darstellungsverlust, Stechersignatur unleserlich. Dargestellt ist der Brückenheilige Johannes von Nepomuk (1350-1393) in einem Rocaillerahmen mit floralen Elementen. Seine linke Hand hält ein Kruzifix über einem Totenschädel. Über dem Heiligen ist seine Zungenreliquie im Strahlenkranz zu sehen. Johannes von Nepomuk erlitt sein Martyrium, indem er in die Moldau geworfen wurde. Vorangegangen war eine Auseinandersetzung mit König Wenzel und dem Prager Erzbischof Jenzenstein. Der Gedenktag der Heiligen Johannes von Nepomuk ist der 20. März.
