Illustration by copperplate engravings: 8 plates (5 fold-out) ; title page has copper engraved coat of arms of the dedicatee Maffeo Barberini; initials, head and tail pieces; the plates showing the views of the Temple of Fortune (Ichnographia, Spelling, Sciographia) are engraved by William Castelli; the Sciographiais drawn by Pietro da Cortona.
