Hardcover, no dustjacket, this original edition is bound in dark green cloth with bright gold titles, the cloth has moderate edge-wear at the spine-ends and corners and some scuffing to the surface, also, a discreet presentation stamp is present on the first blank end-paper, some signs of cracking to the rear hinge but all is secure, the binding is clean and the contents are fine, subtitle continues "To which is added a chapter on How the Irish Came as Builders of the Nation," 138 pages, "A study of peculiar interest to all of New Hampshire birth and origin is the early history of these people who, differing from the settlers around them, were first called Irish by their English neighbors, Scotch-Irish by some of their descendants, and later on Scotch by writers like Mr. Morrison of Windham, N. H." .
