"670-40152-x" -- on back section of dust jacket. Stated First Edition. Andre Norton was the pseudonym of American writer Alice Mary Norton (1912-2005); she also published under the names Andrew North and Allen Weston. She was the first woman to be named Gandalf Grand Master of Fantasy, the first to be a Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America Grand Master, and the first inducted by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame. She was also a founder of the Swordsmen and Sorcerers' Guild of America (SAGA). In Iron Cage, she "points out the foolish and even dangerous distinctions we draw between humans and animals." Book is in Near Fine Condition: cover is slightly rubbed; clean and tight. Dust jacket is in Very Good- Condition: rubbed; spine is slightly browned; lower edge creased and chipped; lacking 1-cm. by 1-cm. section from lower edge of back section.
