Ranch, held by 4 generations, has its family name preserved by the city of Irvine (1971) as well the land-grant UC Irvine (1965). This account by historian Robert Glass Cleland (1885 - 1957) is followed by an Epilogue by Robert V. Hine (1921 - 2015), final residency Irvine, CA, describing changes envisions of future plans for light industry, residential & commercial use of the land, and, for the Univ. of California campus since the issue of this book.
