Very large book pub. for a large retrospective of the photographs of Irving Penn that was held at The Museum Of Modern Art. Over 200 pgs. with 156 finely printed b&w examples of his work + 21 in color and 35 in text repros. Loaded with examples of his portrait and fashion work + esssay. Soft corner crease to the top corners of the front cover, which has resulted in a few teeny tiny dents to some of the corners of the first few pgs., but this is really very minute and minor. Slight discoloration to the white covers. Vg+. A very large and somewhat unwieldy book.

Includes 156 plates with 21 in color and an additional 35 reference illustrations with 7 more in color. A fine copy in photo illustrated wrappers. A fresh copy that is still largely in the publisher's shrinkwrap. Uncommon thus.
