New York: E.P. Dutton, 1926. Octavo. 9th edition, 3 volumes, each with a frontispieces and other illustrations. Both of these volumes represent the lives of these two sister princesses. No one has ever published a full biography of either of these women until this author felt it was time to do so. Isabella was one of the leading women of the Italian Renaissance as a major cultural and political figure. She was also a fashion designer, talented in music, art and business. Her sister, Beatrice on the other hand, was reputed as one of the most beautiful and accomplished princesses of the Italian Renaissance. A very nice set bound by Sangorski and Suttcliffe in full blue polished calf trimmed in gilt raised bands with compartments decoratively stamped in gilt, light brown morocco spine labels gilt, inner gilt denteels, marbled endpapers, top edges gilt, some foxing to fore-edges, spines are faded.
