Sobre este artículo
New York: Dodd Mead & Company, 1964. Stated First Edition 8vo size red clothbound hardcover with dust jacket; 174 pages including index plus a section of black and white photographs on glossy stock. Some black and white illustrations within text. Author photograph on back of dust jacket. From dust jacket: "Isadora Duncan became a legend in her time, and her influence was essential to the birth of American dance. With her ineffable powers to invoke the very spirit of the dance, she rebelled against convention. The freedom and originality of her art also characterized her life, which was restless and exciting, triumphant and tragic... As her art grew, her dances reflected the tragedies that befell her: the loss of her children, an unhappy marriage, disillusionment, and poverty." Ex-library with typical treatments, the tape used to hold the mylar covered dust jacket has discolored. There is a water stain on the bottom of the book with textural changes to the pages and a light stain on some pages. There is also a transfer of red dye to bottom edge of inside covers and first few pages. There are some stains in the margin of page 53, 54 and 82, on two of the glossy pages and on blank rep. Inside back cover and rep have rough area, perhaps were a pocket was removed. . First. Cloth. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Ex-Library.
