Moxon, 1830. vii, [1], 284pp. Later crushed morocco, raised bands, spine in six panels, title in gilt to second panel, remaining panels with small central roundel surrounded by fleurons on a seme dot background within a dotted scalloped border, covers with single fillet border, large corner pieces with a roundel, fleurons and drawer handle tools on a seme dot background, gilt rule to edges, inner edges with corner decorations of a roundel and fleurons, t.e.g. Very slightly rubbed to extremities and covers, light foxing to endpapers and edges of text block, text fairly bright and clean. Previous owners bookplate to front pastedown. Engravings, apparently 'proofs', after drawings by Turner and Stothard. Binding is by H. Wood for Bumpus. First Thus. Full Morocco. Good+. 8vo.

Temple Rare Books is a division of Temple Bookbinders, which has been established for nearly twenty years. The bookshop is based within the bindery building. It is open between 10am and 4pm weekdays, any other times by appointment. All books listed on the website can be examined here, but please let us know first if you are travelling, so that we can make sure it is still available. Not all of the books in the shop are listed on the website. We are members of the PBFA and ABA and exhibit at several of their book fairs, please see our fairs / events page. We attend many auctions and are happy to execute commission bids on your behalf. We will issue printed catalogues sporadically, if you would like to receive these, please contact us at books@templerarebooks.com
