Near fine condition: cover shows slight soiling, light trace of water on the front wrapper to the fore-edge; internally very light trace of water on the fore-edge margin of three first sheets.

An exhibition of office equipment and retailers ardevtising organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the slogan "Proper work organization and advertising ensure the company's success!" was held at the Congess House and Trades House in Riga in 1937. The Chamber embarked on the constructive, positive struggle to take root in fair trade practices. Since the methods of unfair trade practices were often manifested in unacceptable advertising methods, thus the aim of this special exhibition, amongst others, was to promote the principles of fair trade and fair advertising.

An illustrated catalogue was published to accompany the exhibition. It includes the exhibition floor plans, list of exhibitors arranged in alphabetical order by company name with indication of the field of activity and address. The catalogue contains information about ca 500 companies in different sectors of manufacturing and service industry. Companies directory is followed by print advertisements (some of which color).

Catalogue cover and exhibition poster by the gifted graphic artist Raimonds Šiško (1894–?), whose best works included in the "gold fund" of Latvian Art Deco posters. Here are used all the techniques of Art Deco – impetuous perspective striving to infinity, stylization of form, minimal means of expression, bright color contrasts, etc. Diagonal composition depicts a heroic image of muscular Hermes in a winged headdress.
