Sobre este artículo
New York: McLoughlin Bros, 1870. Paperback. Very Good. Cogger, Edward P.. [8] p.: hand-colored wood-engraved illustrations; 15 cm. Yellow wrapper printed in red and black; wood-engraved wrapper design signed "E.P.C." (Edward P. Cogger). Caption title: The History of Jackey Jingle and Sukey Single. "Uncle Frank's Series" at head of front wrapper. Textual wood engravings hand-colored. Publisher's advertisements on back wrapper for Aunt Mary's Little Series, Sunshine Series, Aunt Grumble's Series, Uncle Frank's Series, Mother's Series, and Aunt Effie's 12mo. Toy Books. The absence of a date of publication and a street address suggest this was issued in the 1870s. Former owner's inscription inside front wrapper: David G. Stoddard, Chenango Forks, New York. Tells the story of Jackey and Sukey at school and courtship, including a description of Jackey as a blacksmith's apprentice. In Very Good condition: old hand-stitching of spine; faint writing at head of front wrapper; lightly soiled. A solid and bright example of this scarce McLoughlin Brothers children's book.
