Her parents are killed and she is takrn into captivity as a concubine where she remains for many years. When she escapes, she finds she has little in common with the "arrogant, stuffy Europeans--" . The book is bound in ivory cloth over spine with bold, bright gilt titles, blue boards, very clean, unmarked, faint rubbing to some edges; tight, solid and square. Internals in Fine Condition, pages lightly toned. Clean jacket is edgeworn, chipped at spine head and heel. 630 pages. 8.5 x 5.75 inches. 1982, St Martin's Press, New New York, USA
