Sobre este artículo
[London unless stated otherwise] - [1] Jonathan Cape, 1965; [2] Reprint Society, 1956; [3] New York: The Macmillan Company, 1955 [but 1965]; [4] The Thriller Book Club, [1957]; [5-13] The Book Club, [1957-1965]; [14] New York: The New American Libra, 1956-66.. Mixed printings. Fourteen volumes. 8vo. Publisher's cloth or boards, dust jackets. Some wear to the jacket edges with losses to seven of them, "Dr. No" the most with a section missing at the head of the upper panel, the flaps of "Diamonds" with shadows of old tape markings from a previous jacket protector (now removed), "From Russia..." with damp staining to the rear covers (cloth and jacket), Gilbert A1a (9), A2a (16), A3b (2), A4a (9), A5a (13.1), A6a (13), A7a (11), A8a (9), A9a (7), A10a (9), A11a (12), A12a (6), A13a (7) and c.f. A14b (1). Eleven volumes are Book Club or Reprint Society editions that were usually published within months of the first editions, including three using the same jacket artwork as those issued by Cape. The other three works were not reprinted by the Book Club and are near contemporary reprints: "Casino Royale" a mid-60s printing using the green 'Vesper Lynd' artwork designed by Pat Marriott; "Moonraker" an American book club edition and "Octopussy" the second printing of the first US edition (distinct from the NAL book club edition Gilbert goes on to mention).
