A biography of this American Romantic poet - one of the New England group of 'Fireside Poets', whose popularity rivalled that of British poets in the nineteenth century. Featuring a number of tissue guarded plates, including a portrait frontispiece. In a decorative cloth binding. Externally, slightly bumped, with a little shelfwear. Spine slightly darkened. Internally, firmly bound, with occasional small spots. Some light foxing to endpapers. Very Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
