A privately printed memorial volume for the author's son (1844-1864) , who appears to have died from tuberculosis. The deceased had worked with the U. S. Christian Commission, an association which provided religious and other assistance to Union soldiers during the Civil War. Some pages in the book quote Kimball's letters describing his USCC service in Nashville. No copies of this edition noted in WorldCat, though the American Tract Society later republished this work. ; 32mo 4" - 5" tall; 96 pages .
