(Washington).: (A.O.P. Nicholson).. (1856).. Tinted lithograph, 15.2 x 22.8, 22.4 x 28.8 cm (sheet), edges a little age-toned, lower edged ragged, but the image in very good condition. From Perry's ''The Narrative of the Expedition of an American Squadron to the China Seas and Japan: performed in the years 1852, 1853, and 1854...'', by the expedition artist Wilhelm Heine, the ships from daguerrotypes by Eliphalet Brown. Perry's squadron called at St. Helena in January, 1853 and took on board fresh provisions, water and coal. " .
