Sobre este artículo

Boston: Dana Estes and Company, 1904. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition. Imperial octavo, red cloth covered boards iwth white decoration and gilt title and spine titles. 438pp. Generously illustrated with over 300 photographs in black and white (many full page) with 16 full page chromos from photographs in full color, full page, plus a full page color map of japan. A complete survey of the landscape, dress, religion, architecture and customs of the Japanese people at at time when the vestiges of feudal Japan still predominated. A wonderful picture of a now lost culture which however still represents the heart of Japanese tradition. A very sound, clean volume with bright, crisp, unmarked interior. No creases, tears, stains etc. Tissue guards all crisp and in place over color plates which are all pristine and bright. A very occasional fleck of faint foxing to margin of a handful of pages. The boards show excellent color with clear gilt. There are a couple of spots and speckling of even lighter fading along the very edge of spine and front edge of board. Despite the minor defects noted here this is a very attractive copy of this title, in well above average condition. Very good plus..
