He creates a work of art, a forgery of a 15th c engraving and presents it to a gallery whose owner is most delighted--he sees future promise here. Until the US Treasury gets wind of it and is on the trail. Black full cloth with gray titles on spine, rubbed with discoloration along bottom edge; corners and spine edges rubbed; rear botton edge scuffed spine heel and indentations along edge; square and solid. Rough cut. Pages quite clean and free from any markings, lightly toned. 214 pages. 8.5 x 5.75 inches. William Sloane Associates, New York, 1956.
