The Fourth Volume of "Planches" or Plates has loose fascicles in VG + to NF condition. These have been grouped in folders for each volume (with two ribbon ties to hold everything together). Thus, Vol. I is represented by 19 large, often colored and Black & White illustrations; Vol. II has 49 large, similar plates; Vol. III has 40 equally large and impressive plates (#s 50-90). Solid copies of this remarkably illustrated, early archaeological study of Jerusalem. All volumes have some distress to spine labels (red and black), though backstrips and bindings are solid, while texts are clean, relatively bright, and without foxing! Note: Vol. II, leaf xi is nearly detached but present. The Label on the spine of Vol. IV "Planches" is lost.
