Original watercolor of Jerusalem signed and dated to bottom. Date is stated as April 30th, 1931. Completed on a piece of spiral notebook paper. Water stain to bottom right (see image). Struck was a German Jewish artist who was mainly known for his etchings, commissioned portraits of famous individuals such as Einstein and Ibsen, as well as landscapes of areas surrounding what is now Israel. He rose to fame in the German art world attracting students such as Marc Chagall and Max Liebermann, until he moving to Haifa. The image measures 9.5 x 6.25 in.
