Includes an 18 page dialect glossary with a leaf of notes tipped onto the final page. A very good copy. Signature on front endpaper and Author's presentation inscription to Sir John Bowring on the title, dated Nov. 1867. Bowring (1792 - 1872) was an M.P., Governor of Hongkong and friend and literary executor of Jeremy Bentham.
