Extremely Bright Red cloth boards with gilt lettering and embossed scrollwork/drawings on spine and front board, no marks or writing found anywhere, pages are clean, bright white, tightly bound, and square cornered. Binding feels "unread", it is so tight. Scarce, Out Of Print, Book. A beautiful copy of a classic novel. This is the author's first full-length novel and is considered to be "one of the best of Blackwood's studies of the peculiar horrors and ecstasies of childhood". .
