Previous owner's stamp on first free endpaper. Slipcase shows some rubbing on front edge and tiny split at top corner, plus sunning to rear of slipcase.. 2 volumes (xx, 1170 pages) : illustrations, portraits, facsimiles ; Octavo. This is the first biography of John Adams to be written since the great treasury of his papers and letters became available to scholars.
