Archie Bleeker, a young American, is thrown out of England, where he has been happily teaching English to half a dozen glossy black Somalis of great courtesy, eccentricity and enthusiasm. He goes out to Kojast, a small Principality on the mainland of Persia that neither the Shah nor the British government will admit owning, and is installed as Lecturer in English Literature. Book is quite interesting and would probably make a good 60's movie. Rare.
