A fine watercolour illustration of two Eider drakes on the shoreline near Durness, signed to the bottom right hand corner. The image size is approximately 530mm x 300mm. The overall size including mount and frame is 720 x 490 mm. In fine condition, mount clean with ruled lines, it appears not to be acid free. Dark blue stained wood frame, fine. A well executed ornithological watercolour with fine landscape proportions. [ Biography -Jonathan Pomroy Since leaving art college in Bristol Jonathan has been a freelance wildlife and landscape artist, exhibiting at such venues as Birdscapes Gallery, Norfolk and the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust reserves Slimbridge, Arundel and The Wetland Centre at Barnes. Annual exhibitions at The West Barn, Bradford on Avon and notably the Society of Wildlife Artists annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries. Since 2014 he has exhibited annually in the art marquee at the Birdfair, Rutland Water. His work is on permanent display at Birdscapes Gallery, Norfolk and Nunnington Galleries. He works mainly on location in watercolour and pencil but also in oils and most prolifically ornithological studies in nature.
