Sobre este artículo

London: Michael Joseph, 1954. First. DJ, Hardback. Good. Lord Dunsany. Jorkens borrows another whiskey
London: Michael Joseph, 1954
First edition, the fifth and last of the Jorkens books published before the author's death (The last work, The Last Book of Jorkens, was lost in the family archive and only published in 2002). A collection of thirty-four fantasy short stories, narrated by Mr. Joseph Jorkens and told in the frame of a gentlemen's club in London, of which the narrator is a member. The Jorkens stories, primarily fantasy but also including elements of adventure, mystery and science fiction literature, have been collected in a series of six books, and were a key inspiration for the "fantastic club tale" type of short story. A very good, clean copy, in the original dust wrappers with slight wear at the corners and top of the spine.
256 pp.
18,5 x 12 cm.
