Green and black speckled coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Colour photographic dustwrapper with black coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Black and white photograph of author to the rear panel. The autobiography of the author who had a talent to amuse which led her to an unexpected life in entertainment. This life she describes vividly, along with her family  her mother was sister to Nancy Astor, and such people as Noel Coward and Stephen Potter etc. Softening of the lower book edges with a little fading. Rubbing of the book corners with minor age toning of the text block edges. Bumping to the top rear edge of the book. Some creasing of the dustwrapper edges and rubbing of the panels. There is 1/2 inch tear to the lower left-hand corner of the front panel. Some browning of the fold over panels. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [6], 7 - 295, [1] pages,.
