Sobre este artículo

London: Chatto and Windus, 1959. The author served for many years in the Chinese Maritime Customs service, prior to the Communist revolution, surveying China's great rivers. In the process he developed a deep expertise on the Chinese inland watercraft known in the West as junks. The present volume details his rich affection not only for the native vessels and their crew, but for Chinese life in general, in all of its abundance, colour and variety. Top edge of FFEP and half title page clipped, not affecting any text and now a clean repair with archival tape. Light spotting on fore-edges. Apparent tea stain on rear dust jacket; DJ now protected in Mylar. Interior pages clean and unmarked. 254 pp. 6 b&w photos, author's sketches throughout, endpaper map. . First. Hard bound. Good/Good. 23 x 15 cm..
