Editio Nunc Primum Secundo Tomo Locupletata, In Quo Decisiones Casuum Ad Singulos Decretalium Titulos Explicantur. Venice: Apud Nicolaum Pezzana, 1750. Two volumes in one book. [vi], 730, [18]; [viii], 344 pp. Main text in double columns. Folio (13-1/4" x 9"). Contemporary calf, gilt spine with raised bands and lettering piece, endpapers rouged. Moderate rubbing to boards, heavier rubbing to extremities with wear to board edges and head of spine, chipping to foot of spine, front board beginning to separate but secure, rear hinge cracked. Title page of Volume I printed in red and black. Moderate toning, light foxing in places, light soiling and offsetting to preliminaries and rear endleaves, contemporary inscription to front free endpaper, which has a few creases along its gutter. $350. * Later edition. Pichler, a Jesuit theologian and canon lawyer, held law professorships in Dillingen, Ingolstadt and Munich. His highly regarded Jus Canonicum was first published in 1701 and went through several editions and reissues during the eighteenth century. OCLC locates 5 copies of the 1750 edition in North America, 1 in a law library (Harvard). This edition not in Ferreira-Ibarra.

Founded in 1983, The Lawbook Exchange, Ltd. is devoted to all aspects of law and its history. It has two main components. The Antiquarian Book Department offers a wide range of Continental, British, and American books, manuscripts, and ephemera from the medieval era through the twentieth century. The Publications Department offers reprints of over 1,000 landmark or otherwise interesting works, many with newly commissioned introductions, and several original publications. The Lawbook Exchange also offers appraisals and provides assistance with collection development. Originally a company that serviced law firms exclusively, it now serves thousands of lawyers,scholars, and institutions worldwide.
