Sobre este artículo
Buffalo, NY: Yusef Alhakk Defense Committee, 1980. Handbill. Two 8.5x11 inch handbills, very good; the first one announcing an event sponsored by Tolstoy College and the BSU. Both have a brief penciled notation that they were obtained in 1980 in Buffalo. Yusef Alhakk (born Joseph Daniels) was a Black Muslim poet and the chairman of the Afrikan Liberation Support Committee in Buffalo, NY. He was charged with the 1977 robbery of a drugstore, but he and his supporters asserted that it was a frameup because of his political activities. He was nevertheless convicted. Years later he became a high school social studies teacher, and returned once more to prison after a child pornography conviction.
