It then goes into a lengthy discussion for each of the 12 regiments that were activated in August 1914 (GduC, GKR KR1 to 8, Saxon Guard Reiter and Saxon Karabienier). It discusses the regiment's garrison, the specific uniforms of each regiment and then the regiment's activities during the war. I've been able to find some first hand descriptions of some of the combat action translated from German soldiers' diaries and US Intelligence reports.
