In the three-color illustrated dust jacket with price $3.00 intact on the front flap: spine ends a trifle rubbed, one-half inch closed tear to back head edge and lower corner chipped. Sufi wisdom presented to the Westerner in a pseudo-translation from the Persian by English explorer, orientalist scholar and translator Burton. First published in 1880. Dust jacket preserved in a clear, removable archival sleeve.
