An early and important Gerhard Richter (b. 1932) exhibition catalogue, it is essentially a catalogue raisonné of his earliest works from the 60s. 122 of Richter's paintings are reproduced and all of them are listed in an exhibition check-list, with dimensions, and provenance information. With an introductory essay by the curator Klaus Honnef (b. 1939).


"In 1969, Klaus Honnef curated Gerhard Richter's first and pioneering retrospective, which was also his first solo exhibition in an institutional context.
