"Indispensable for reference work with prints, decorative arts, and early architectural books...A classified bibliography of ornamental prints (5,435 entries), primarily in series form, which comprised the decorative arts collection of the Berlin State Library and its predecessors. This library was largely destroyed in World War II. Divided into nine general categories: (1) General collections; (2) Handicrafts; (3) Architecture; (4) Interior decoration; (5) Plastic arts; (6) Nature; (7) Symbolical works; (8) Painting; (9) Calligraphy and printing arts." - Arntzen & Rainwater.
