Drawings by Margaret Landers Sanford, et al. Pictorial red cloth stamped in dark green and white. Original owners name and date on endpaper. Slight rubbing to spine ends. A fine copy. A historical novel based on actual characters the author met and real experiences. The author, of Oregon Trail fame, came across the plains in 1852 with his wife and young son to the Puget Sound country. He later retraced the entire trip in the original wagon in the years 1906-1908..

The Argonaut Book Shop was founded in 1941 in the middle of the financial district of San Francisco. The Argonaut was a founding member of the Antiquarian Booksellers\' Association of America and has been a member in good standing ever since. The Shop is now located just three blocks from Union Square in downtown San Francisco and is open six days a week. Parking facilities include ample street space and a parking garage close by.
