A dreamier, less tyrannical presence than Thompson's famous Eloise, Pooky spends most of her entries venting her frustration with the unobtainable boys she meets, only to end each page with a plaintive call: "Oh GOOD GAG GIG You're GORGEOUS;" "Oh NEDDY NOD to me or I'll NEVER notice you again;" "Oh Willy YOU worm. . .
