Condition: Good, essentially in very condition except that there is quite heavy foxing to the front and rear endpapers. All other pages are clean and bright. No inscriptions. Dustjacket condition: Very good, with light shelfwear and a hint of sunning to cover edges. Not price-clipped. 217pp. One of the greatest pieces of confessional writing to emerge in the 20th century, these journals were kept by the artist Keith Vaughan (1912-1977). He belonged to the Neo-Romantic group of British artist which included Sutherland, Minton, Ayrton, Ceri Richard, Piper and Craxton. He began the Journals in 1939 and they only ended with his suicide in 1977..
