All books were limited edition works, issued as part of the Gothic revival movement.Though the Press closed shortly after Morris' death, the Press had a huge influence on book production.Illustrated with a frontispiece, and sixteen plates.Collated, complete.Written by H. Halliday Sparling.William Morris was a noted Victorian textile designer, artist, and poet, largely associated with the British Arts and Crafts Movement, and the Pre-Raphaelite movement. He was one of the most significant cultural figures of the century.Rebound in an institutional cloth binding. Labels to the front paste down, stamp to the recto to the front endpaper, reverse of the title page, and to some other leaves. Rebound in an institutional cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Light rubbing and some marks to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, with a little loss to the head and tail of the spine. Faded ink to the spine. Labels to the front paste down. Stamp to the recto to the front endpaper, and to the top edge. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean, with some odd light handling marks. Repair to the gutter of the frontispiece and plates. Stamp to the reverse of the title page and some pages, including to the reverse of some plates. Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
