Blue cloth boards, gilt lettering to spine under illustrated dustwrapper. 8.75ins x 6ins, [viii], 291pp plus 24pp illustrations. Story of a clothing manufacturer who became a war-time pilot and went on to establish an aircraft hiring business in the 1960's. The majority of the book comprises 271 letters from Ken Couling to his wife written between June 1943 and February 1946 during his overseas service. Pasted to the inside front cover is a signed presentation card from Monica Couling (author & wife). Dustwrapper lightly sunned to spine. F / VG.
