Large 8vo, publisher's original green cloth, the upper cover and spine lettered in gilt within borders decorated with graceful yellow pine cones and brown leaves with lattice work. x, 240 4 ads pp. A especially handsome and attractive copy of this beautifully decorated book, the nicest copy we've seen of it, the textblock tight and clean and bright, the illustrations all fine as can be, the binding fresh with no fading and only the most trivial evidence of age. FIRST EDITION AND HANDSOME A. & C. BLACK ILLUSTRATED PUBLICATION, these views of Kent couldn't be more picturesque. William Biscombe Gardner worked in both watercolours and oils and exhibited widely.
