The second issue, and first casebound edition, published here by Faber from the sheets of the original 1935 Architectural Press edition (which was only issued in wrappers with a wire spiral binding). Small 4to. 63pp. An internal spiral wire binding within white cloth boards, blocked in orange at the spine. With photographic endpapers, two colour maps and scores of photographs and reproductions, many presented full-page or double-spread, plus essays by Sheila Kaye-Smith, Rev. Miles Sargent, the Dean of Rochester and Arthur Waugh (on Charles Dickens and Kent). Includes a full-page Edward Bawden Shell advertisement. Top edge lightly spotted, and with a minor wave to the paperstock. A very good copy in slightly dust soiled price-clipped dust wrapper, rubbed at the upper edge with a single tiny fraction of loss and some internal taped reinforcement..
