This the first edition thus, beautifully illustrated both in text and in full page by noted artist Hugh Thomson. In the original publisher's full cloth binding, with gilt embossing to front board and spine, gilt to edges. Externally smart with shelf wear, spine and boards lightly bumped, minor darkening to spine, gentle cocking forward of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Light odd spotting to odd leaf, otherwise pages bright and clean. With illustrations by Hugh Thomson. Very Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
