Manchester: Henry Sotheran & Co., 1881. Hardcover . Used - near very good. Lg 8vo; Hinges tender, common with this book as textblock is clay-based and very heavy. The binding is square and the textblock is tight and the text is unmarked. The blue cloth covers are heavily rubbed with spine tips chipped. The gilt lettering is quite legible. There are 2 difficult-to-decipher inscriptions, one on the ffe verso, the other laid in. The author Bowes is mentioned in the one laid in.
