Sobre este artículo

Philadelphia, PA: S. Probasco, 1824. 10th Edition . Hardcover. Good-. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, paper covered boards with half leather to spine. Exterior is heavily worn and spotted, spine is brittle and chipping in several spots. Internal binding is secure though hinges show holes and thread at boards. The binding of the text pages is tight. Pages are toned due to age and moderate to heavy foxing is present throughout. Advertisement page states this is the 10th edition. First end page has the lower right corner worn out. The interesting part of this book is on the same end page, which bears several signatures which is basically a short genealogy of the Nutt family, and it appears it may be the children of Haller Nutt - well known southern plantation owner of the early 19th century. The page contains four names: the oldest being Sarah Nutt, with a November 13 date. The other names are Cary (Caroline) Routh Nutt, Mary Ella Nutt, and a daughter Mary Francis Nutt. The Caroline and Mary Ella match up to Haller Nutt but we could not find references to a Sarah Nutt. There is also a bit of pencil writing, some on the front pastedown and a few small doodles on the end pages. These may be erased if desired.

Yesterday's Book Shop (Member IOBA)

Purchases will ship by US Media Mail or Priority Mail (if buyer selects) and higher priced items may have insured placed on the order and will typically ship within one business day. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 5 lbs., but only in unusual cases. Insurance is available upon request though we normally place insurance on any item of $75 or higher at no additional cost to the buyer. Non-US sales will ship by First Class International or Global Priority. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 4 lbs.

We always take extra care in packaging and shipping. Books are typically wrapped in packing paper or bubblewrap before packaged in a sturdt shipping box. All orders, even those shipped by US Media Mail, will be given a USPS tracking number which will be sent to the buyer so they will know when to expect arrival. Please let us know if there is a book with incorrect or missing photos. We recently moved the inventory to Biblio and a title or two may have had issues with the photos being transferred over.

Yesterday's Book shop is owned and operated by a disabled veteran. Due to my limitations, I often have to rely on speech-to-text software to list the books. If the description has typos ("and pages" instead of "end pages", pace downs instead of pastedowns, guilt instead of gilt, etc,) PLEASE let me know so I can correct the listing. The software spells words by phonetics and can make errors that I may not catch.

There is a 30 day money back guarantee if the book arrives damaged or is not as described. Please contact us prior if you have any issues with your purchases and we will make sure you are taken care of.

Sobre Yesterday's Book Shop (Member IOBA)

Yesterday's Book Shop is an independent, family-owned establishment. The store first opened in 1966 under the name Collector's Corner and was located in Western Maryland. The Collector's Corner dealt mainly in books but also sold stamps and assorted ephemera. In 1975 the name was changed to Yesterday's Book Shop when the store only offered books and printed matter. In the early 2000s the brick and mortar store was closed and now we only sell online.

All of the book pictures were taken at the time the book was listed and we never use generic or stock photos in any listing. If you would like additional photos or information on any listing please let us know and we will be more than happy to comply.
