Sobre este artículo

The Killer Angels, 1974 Octavo Original Blue-Green Boards, dust jacket. First Edition,1974, Shaara's Pulitzer Prize winning novel and one of the most popular works of Civil War fiction. Book like new, clean, crisp pages, no writing or underlining, slight bump to lower corner. First state dust jacket lacking the Pulitzer Prize blurb. Dust jacket very fine with the exception of very slight wear to top and bottom of spine, Not price clipped. An exceptional copy of this classic novel of the Civil War in which the reader feels as though the book's characters are speaking directly to them. An outstanding copy you will cherish as part of your library for many years to come.

Sinopsis

The Killer Angels is a historical novel by Michael Shaara that was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1975. The book tells the story of four days of the Battle of Gettysburg in the American Civil War: June 30, 1863, as the troops of both the Union and the Confederacy move into battle around the town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and July 1, July 2, and July 3, when the battle was fought. The story is character driven and told from the perspective of various protagonists.

Reseñas

El Mar 26 2017, un lector dijo:
Brilliant depiction of various characters, from the historically pre-eminent (Lee, Chamberlain) to the minor (Spy) to the fictional participants at Gettysburg. Provides a psychological profile of those who made this hallowed ground.
