Sobre este artículo
The Detective Book Club produced volumes of three crime novels from 1942 to 1999. Originally monthly, near the end they dwindled down to just a few per year. Many famous detective and crime novelists had their early works featured in DBC editions. Often, books were published in DBC editions before, or at the same time as they were published in mass market form. A little about our authors:
James Melville: Melville, a member of the RAF during WWII, went on to become a diplomat, spending much of his career in Japan. There he began to write about the country and its people, creating a crime novel series involving an inspector called Otani. This series had 13 volumes. Melville wrote four other novels as well as three cozy mysteries under the name Hampton Charles. Thisis the ninth Otani novel.
Anne Morice: Morice wrote 25 mysteries, 23 in her Tessa Crichton series, and two in her Tubby Wiseman series, which ended with her death in 1989. This is the twenty-second Tessa Crichton Mystery.
Robert B. Gillespie: I can find no biographical information other than he was born in 1917. Gillespie published eight mystery novels, the most recent in 1990.

Sobre Turtleman Used Books
Thanks for visiting Turtleman Books.
Opened August 1st of 2022, Turtleman Used Books in Olympia, WA. Address is 108 22nd Ave SW, Olympia, WA 98501. Suite #4. This is a small shop, so some books may only be displayed online, others only displayed in the store. Come on by if you are in town. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
Many of my books are oversized. Rather than ask for shipping adjustments at the time of purchase, the list price for heavier books includes the excess shipping cost. All of my photographs are of the actual product, taken by my trusty little Kindle Fire. Currently we have about 2900 books offered for sale online, with more being added daily. Check back frequently to see what's new. -----
