Sobre este artículo

New York: McGraw Hill Book Company, (1968). First Edition. Hardcover. Two tiny nicks on rear panel of dustwrapper. Near Fine in a price-clipped, Very Good dustwrapper. Of all my novels this bright brute is the gayest," writes Vladimir Nabokov in his Foreword to this revised and first English-language edition of a classic story.

Sinopsis

Originally written in 1928, it was translated from Russian to English by Nabokov's son in 1968. The novel is the story of well-to-do Dreyer, who has a lovely but terriby cold wife, named Martha.  Bored, manipulative Martha plots to make a lover of Dreyer's nephew, Franz, when he comes to work for Dreyer in Berlin.
