Owner name on the front fly, slight tanning to the spine and light wear to the edges of the boards and ends of the spine, else very good, lacking the dustwrapper. A poorly manufactured volume, the author's seventh novel and the basis for the hardboiled 1955 Robert Aldrich film that was a major influence on the French New Wave directors. Scripted by A.I. Bezzerides, the film featured Ralph Meeker, Gaby Rodgers, and Cloris Leachman in her memorable debut.
Sinopsis
