Sound and square binding, with cloth backed spine and paper covered boards. Minor wear to the corner tips. A little dusty along the top and bottom text block edges. Previous owner's stamp on the front free endpaper. Inside pages are clean and unmarked. Dust jacket has some wear along the edges and a little stretched. It is shelf-rubbed with light scratches. A collection of some of the best stories written by Canada's pioneer woman journalist, Kit Coleman, who wrote for the Toronto Mail newspaper from 1889 to 1916. Ted Ferguson wrote the introduction to this noteworthy character as well as beginning each subject chapter with his comments. Includes two sections of black and white photographs. .
