Sobre este artículo
Rare.
This coloring book about Chinese toys includes images of clay dolls (one rocking), wooden figurines, whistle, cloth tiger, paper lanterns, etc.
The book was created by Nina Obrucheva (1902-2004), a graphic and theatre artist who studied at VKhUTEMAS under Iliya Mashkov.
In the late 1950s the relations between Mao Zedong and Nikita Khushchev became deeply strained following Khrushchev's de-Stalinization of the USSR and US-Soviet collaboration.
On July 16, 1960 the USSR recalled all its specialists from China. This coloring book was signed for print on November 30, 1959. Most likely, it was one of the late traces of the Sino-Soviet friendship.
We couldn't trace any copy of this edition in USA or European libraries via OCLC.
